Arriving in Austin

I moved to Austin during COVID in 2020, didn't know many people.

Seven Doors

In 2021, I moved to Rainey Street and lived at The Quincy. That's when everything changed. The energy. The skyline. The people. Being able to walk everywhere. The feeling of actually being in the middle of it all. That one move completely shifted my experience in Austin.

Since then, I've lived in seven different places across the city. High rises. Luxury communities. Amenity-heavy buildings. I didn't just tour them. I lived in them.

The Gap

Along the way, I worked with apartment locators myself. And honestly? Most of them just sent over a list and booked a tour. There wasn't much thought behind it.

No one asked how I wanted to live. No one told me which floor to avoid or which layout actually feels bigger than the square footage suggests. No one followed up after I moved in to make sure everything was right. I kept thinking: someone should do this differently.
